Google has launched a new translation service for the tourists with a mono-lingual English, who saved the tourists from an error speak when in a restaurant. The search engine company is releasing the technology translator at the Mobile World Congress this week and then plans to apply the menu at the smartphone for instant translation into English. However, unfortunately the Google prototype can only be mentranslate language to German to English. But for the future, Google hopes the technology can be used to mentranslate everything from street signs, posters and even novels between 52 languages.
According to Google product marketing manager, Andrew Gomez, translator services are entered into the extension of Google Goggles, which allow a user to search the web using their mobile phone or smartphone, instead of typing his text. Translational uses optical character recognition technology to scan and convert written words into computer text which was then inserted into Google Translate.Google Goggles is also compatible with a variety of smartphones that run on Android operating system 1.6 +.
